The dealer will nickel and dime you to death. With the.."And oh, buy the way" you need to replace the dingle-dongle too
I thought I was the only one they offered a new dingle-dongle to!!! I had same issue last year, quoted 2400 for new clutch and flywheel. Bought a used one with 2k on it for 130 bucks and had Rob do the work. ZCarGarage FTMFW!!! Look into JWT clutch, close to stock noise and feel, pretty good upgrade in performance though!

I might be down the same path too.... my car's with the dealership getting the transmission replacement under warranty, but the flywheel and clutch pad are not covered. They told me that if the clutch's half way through might as well get it replaced, which is gonna be another $2600. I'll look into JWT. By the way, can I use stock clutch pads with the JWT flywheel? Or I have to go aftermarket on the clutch too?

They're BS'ing you. I'd just tell them to put that clutch back on. They're trying to make a quick buck off you. What the heck is "half way through" anyway? Of course all clutches wear over time, but if it ain't broke, I'd leave it alone.
