Is it safe to always used the tiptronic mode and what rpms do you shift it at

 

yea its safe to use the tiptronic mode as long as you dont let it redline, and shifting depends on how your driving.

 

Yes, you can use tiptronic mode as much as you want. I usually keep mine in manual mode in the city and swtich it to drive on the highway. For calm driving i shift around 2500-3000 rpms.

 

if your stock i dont see a reason why not to use it..im FI,its fun but those rpms jump much faster than NA..just dont redline

 

I keep it in regular auto mode most of the time, only use manual mode when there are douches on the highway and i need to move quick or for spirited runs every now and then

 

I have mine 80% time in Auto mode due to my daily driving habits but on the weekend I keep it mostly in Manumatic mode as it's much more fun. Just don't hit the rev limiter all the time.

 

I use mm almost exclusively - shift anywhere from 4K-6+K depending on how spirited I'm getting... 7.2-7.5K at the track.

Full auto when pulling in to park or while in traffic sometimes (or when law enforcement is near).
