Clutch issue (master/slave cylinder?)
Here is the backstory:
A week ago, I got stuck in some terrible stop and go traffic on the interstate that lasted about an hour during which I never really got out of first gear. Then, I started losing pressure in my clutch pedal. There were basically only about 2 inches of pressure on the clutch and it wouldn't even rebound back up off the floor. I pulled into a rest stop to call roadside assistance, but within 5 minutes I restarted the car and the clutch was back to normal. I took it into a dealership, told them what the problems were, they can't find anything wrong with it.
Fast forward to this week and the problem re-emerges after about 10 days of problem free driving. Any thoughts from anyone?

This has been covered several times...in fact there is a relatively lengthy discussion of this topic directly below...but no worries at all, I am happy to point you in the right direction. The most likely issue is a faulty master-cylinder, though you can certainly check this out by bleeding the hydraulics and see if any improvement is noticed. Doing this will likely provide a short-term improvement. Heat and stop and go traffic will exacerbate this issue and thus don't be shocked if the issue return under similar circumstances. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

Yeah, I realized the noob-ness of my post almost immediately shortly afterwards and noticed all the lengthy discussions of this problem. Sorry for cluttering up the forum
.
