Manual tranny, shifter shaking

Hey guys,

I just bought 05 G35 sedan with 6spd manual. This is my first infiniti and I noticed that the shifter shakes when driving. The higher the speed the more it wabbles back and forth. I took into the dealer because its still under warranty and they said its normal. I've never had it in any other manual car that I owned unless the bushings or stabilizers need to be replaced. Is this normal for our cars?

Thanks for the input

what about clunking noise when the wheel is turned all the way to the right or left? Dealer said something about brake pads making that noise when the wheel is in that position.

It is likely that the clunk is from the compression rods which have a tendency to wear on the G35. They used to replace the entire arm but now they will simply press in a new bearing at the dealer. I am not sure if you are still under warranty but if so it may be covered. If not, you can do this on your own. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks,

do a search here there might be a TSB for it. print it and take it to the dealer, then they'll fix it.
