AT fluid change and ramps

Two questions.
Do I have to remove the bottom cover in order to get to the AT drain bolt on my G35X 2005?
How many qts of matic-s should I purchase for a pan drain only?
Thanks in advance. Any tips that you can pass along would be appreciated.

The plastic cover was not in the way on my 06 but I do not have an X. Cannot imagine it would be any different. I used ramps and got a little over 4 quarts out. I purchased 5 quarts and would recommend the same. Be sure to measure what you drain out because every car can be different. I think the drain plug was 17mm IIRC. Make sure you drain after the car has been run up to temperature.
