Transmission Flush?

Transmission Flush?
I have an '04 G35 sedan, automatic. 95k miles. So both the oil change place and the dealer have mentioned to me that they recommend flushing and replacing the transmission fluid. Dealer wants like $300 if I remember correctly?
Just curious how many people get it done. Is it really necessary or is just yet another dealer gimmick to make money?
If it is a good idea, is it easy to do yourself? Would you recommend doing it yourself or is it a PITA? I do have a little more than average technical experience... I'm all about saving money but see the need to take care of my car. I plan on driving the wheels off it.

Check the A/T Fluid first. If its DARK and smells bad it needs changing. If its bright red, it's sill good.
-------------
Changing shouldn't be that hard. I did it for a friends Honda. It had over 200k miles and the fluid was still good. (bright red).

Here's a PDF files on how to do it for the G35.

It's a good idea to change it every 30k mi from what i remember from work
you need to use J Matic Nissan fluid as well
you can't really do a TRUE flush yourself, but most dealerships don't do actual flushes anyhow, they offer drain and fills. which you can do yourself, it's just time consuming.
should be able to do a drain and fill for under $50 yourself.
