Need help deciding on a new clutch...
I been looking around a bunch of websites and the forums trying to figure out which clutch to get. I am looking to buy a new one this week as my JWT is starting to slip at WOT. I've had this clutch/flywheel set on for about 30,000 miles and I liked it but want to go with something different this time around. I'd like to think the clutch should've lasted longer (could've been my driving?) and I don't want to pay for this again (at least for a while). I've seen a bunch of ACT and Exedy clutches for sale but am not sure of the quality...I've also been thinking about the Competition Clutch stage 2 (around $450).
All I have done as far as mods is clutch/flywheel, intake, and plenum spacer, so I need something along those lines but that could also handle a little more horsepower as I do more to my car. Thanks ahead of time for any advice and input....

There are lots of options available for a car with these mods. I am running a SPEC Stage 2+ clutch and steel flywheel in my 05 G35 Sedan and it is both very drivable and torque capable. I have provided a link to the website for these parts below. Take a look and let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

There are two phonemna at work relative to clutch noise. Thw first is clatter. This occurs as a result of the reduction of dampening associated with the removal of the stock dual-mass flywheel. This sound occurs most commonly at idle with the pedal released and during deceleration. Chatter on the other hand occurs when leaving from a stopped position in 1st or reverse and occurs as a result of the clutch disc scuffing the plate or flywheel friction surface. Chatter is more common with a pucked disc than with a full-faced disc. Chatter will generally reduce as the clutch is seated and break-in is completed.
I write all this to insure that you all understand the cause of the sounds your reference and the differences that exist between them. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
