Is this possible?

Will a rev matching 2005+ 5AT transmission bolt up to a 2004 5AT?

Bolt up? Probably? Work properly? Probably not. Depends how the ecu/tcm play with each other.

hmm? i dont think the AT has rev matching...i think the 370z's came with rev matching and the 05+ 6mt's came with rev up motors.

i could be wrong though!

In 05 the 5AT came with the rev match downshift feature. I've tried it with a few 05-06 loaners, but wasn't terribly impressed because it's a bit slow of a rev matched downshift. My 03 will manually downshift a lot quicker, but it can have a bit of jolt which isn't exactly ideal either.

To the OP, like Jeff said, it will most likely bolt-up, but after that it's not going to work unless you've got a 04.5 car. That could possibly work, but that's a pretty expensive gamble. I'm also not sure how the system works because there is throttle blipping occuring which means there's additional ECM/TCM control. I'd say if you want the rev match feature, sell your G and get a newer one.

Hm, that sucks, oh well, my car is an 04.5 and I just bought a fully built tranny hopefully that will improve it. If not, I can live with it.

thanks fellas
