6mt trouble...

so i have a 04 coupe with a 6mt..and work fine but sumtimes i have a problem where i have to push the shifter down to go into 5th and 6th..which also eliminates my reverse..so when that happens i cant reverse..but after a while everything goes back to normal as if nothing was ever wrong..can sumone please help me or give me info on what may be wrong??

lol its hard to xplain but sumtimes my reverse doesnt work for a bit then i drive around for a while and it will start working again..

i really wish you added the few letters to make that english...

it is possible that your gear linkage needs to be tightened, or possibly you just need someone to show you how to drive

so the gear linkage being loose causes ONLY 5th 6th and reverse to act up like that and does nothing to the other gears...idk but thanks for the info and will see if that's the problem

check your shifter fork too...

may be bent or something maybe loose in there which is causing the intermittant problem
