VERY weird issues
04 G35 5AT - 76,000 miles
Recently when I give the car 1/2 to full pedal it will sort of buck forward instead of downshifting and accelerating. It doesn't do it all the time, maybe 10-20% of the time.
I stopped by Autozone and had them hook up their code reader to see if it was a misfire or something like that. It came back with no codes, but as soon as he unhooked it the "VDC OFF" and "SLIP" lights came on. I turned the car off/on and they stayed on. I left Autozone and the car was shifting very hard, chirping the tires from 1st to 2nd. Also the RPM gauge wasn't working, along with the temperature gauge. The A/C was blowing out air, but it wasn't cold anymore. I called the Nissan dealership and the service guy couldn't explain why all that stuff would happen at once. He said hooking up a code reader shouldn't have caused all those things to happen.
They were too busy to take it in today so it is sitting in the garage with the negative battery terminal off to reset the computer. Any ideas???
