axle boots

Hey guys so last night, after a 6 hour round trip to go get my new rims, i put them and look under my car.....my front passanger inner axle boot is completly ripped open.

What is causing this? can it be because im too low having an AWD car? This is starting to annoy me

same thing happen to me. im not sure what is causing this, i have put up a thread about this like a week ago. no one chimed in. but i found out that rockauto.com sells the boot and grease for about 12 bucks. but im thinking about buying the whole assembly which cost about 100 something. but we really need someone to chime in about this. im scared if i changed this again the same problem occur again and again. and i dont want to keep going in for an alignment after i fix it.

did it look like you ran over cow/chicken crap in a farm? ^_________^

i think the company is in new jersey or ct.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=860589
that's just the boot only.

i think im going to order mine soon too. you have to remove the hub and everything just to replace that. so i prefer doing it on a lift. because i was thinking about the ground with floor jacks, but it might be more difficult. but... i think it should be pretty easy. hope this helps.
