Experience with Aftermarket Flywheels- Please help
Please somebody just point in the right direction or shed some light on my issue. My G just had the transmission replaced and I got a new exedy clutch and racing flywheel (chromoly single mass). Now unless I double cluch it when I shift at high rpms I get a grind in almost every gear. If I shift slow and normal it's fine. Do lighter flywheels have anything to do with this or does this sound like I have another bad transmission.
Also another weird thing is if I start the car up and engadge the clutch as I rev it up I hear the flywheel only once make a really loud whirl grind sound. If I try to do it again it won't happen.
I was assured the transmission was good and the clutch and flywheel are still very new about 700 miles on them. My car has been in the shop so much this year that I forget when it actully started. But I know it was after I put in the flywheel.
If anyone lives in miami or near it can you recommend a good shop because I have been to three and nobody knows what's going on. Trying to avoid getting raped by the dealer.
