4th gear test= NO GOOD.
the late engagement is typical for stock clutch. you just have to get use to it

whats the easiest way to see if it's bad? 4th gear at a stop and try to go? if she stalls she is good if not she is bad? hydraulic clutches are new to me!
Make sure your clutch cylinder fluid is full to the line other wise you'll have a lower pedal.

I'm looking to get the NISMO LWF at some point since it doesnt have the issue with chatter so much as the lighter ones, can anyone tell me what exactly causes the chatter issue? I know its because of the lighter rotating mass, but how does that cause the noise?

it is true that the nismo is better on chatter. my buddy has one in his 350z, and there is almost none

when i changed my clutch i didn't even take out my flywheel. it just stayed in there. so once i put everything back in there the clutch felt really bad. but only when i was engaging it. once my car was rolling the car felt fine. after about 700 miles the clutch felt fine and nothing was wrong with it. im not trying to encourage you to do the same as i did. but those are just my two cents.
