VLSD or open dif
VLSD or open dif
Ok, so I glanced over the faq and did a couple searches on both 350z and g35 sites and came up with some potentially useful things, but I'd like to confirm my conclusions.
I grabbed a pumpkin from an 04 auto G35(dunno trim level) and I have been under the impression that all g35s came with vlsd regardless of trim level, yet this acts like an open dif when I spin one axle. My questions are:
Were my assumptions true?
Does a vlsd dif act like a mechanical one or an open dif in this case?
I just need the stub axles from a vlsd for my Z...if the vlsd is simply worn out and that's why it does that, it doesn't bother me.
