Can you still use the normal automatic? Are they only able to be used when the shifter is over to the right for "manual mode" ?

I have a paddle kit in mine. I use normal auto when on the phone, or just floating through town, and the paddles can only be used when the car is in sport manual. But yes, auto works fine, and the paddles, and the stick both work.

Need a vid?

Id personally like to delete the shifter on the center console completely and just have paddle shifters for P/N/D/1/2/3/4/5...

Anyone done this/attempt to do this/any ideas on how to go about this?

Would be the shietttt.

You can't do it afaik. You need the rest of the transmission. Paddles only control drive gears 1-5.

i want a vid!! lol Really I do..

Wait I sec, in that vid the guy was changing gears while the car wasnt moving. I know that the car is in tiptronic mode, but for my car I cant change the gear unless the car is over 2k rpm. Is this just a feature of the paddles?

I saw that in the vid. It's an anomoly. I can't do it in mine, either. Must be the kit. I was sitting at a light tonight trying to shift just to make sure. Confirmed. No shift while stopped.
