my 03 shifts with at a stop, so maybe only the 03/04 sedans do it

I cant justify spending $500 on some carbon fiber and a wiring harness. But it is sweet, just not for me.

REALLY REALLY. Like it's an hour or 1.5 job. I did it because I track the car, and it's on its way to becoming my track car. That, and the fun factor increased 2 points with the paddles alone. I would suggest you do everything else performance-wise that you want to do before you put the paddles in. But I like speed and power more than looks.

You can find them for less than 5 if you look around. I'm almost certain I got mine for 3.5-4 hundie.

the reason you see in the video is 03-04 use a different VB than the 04.5+. 03-04 is a top gear limiter and 04.5 actually shifts into gears whenever you move.

cutting

What has to be cut when installing the work bell column shifter, and what kind of wiring is needed, any cutting splicing soldering involved ?

Considering we like what we like and want what we want, this is not to discourage anyone or attempt to change anyone's mind -not that I could, but I've noticed something lately.

Not to mention, even after the Infiniti dealership service technician - who really knows his sh** BTW%$ - told me he could easily install the Bell Works Paddle Kit, I still have lost interest in paddle shifters...........unexpectedly. (Not a very good DIY guy, for the most part.)

Why? 'Cause dude had just reversed the 5AT manumatic console shifter to:

PULL - Upshift
PUSH - Downshift

Took all of 20 minutes, maybe 30...........his first such mod (I've an 06 Coupe. )

At a cost that is not even worth mentioning, though worthy of mention is that he said he found another way to reverse direction w/out flipping wires.

I am totally shocked at how much better, more intuitive, more fun, and how content (TRANSLATION..........HAPPY!!) I am with this relatively minor mod.

No sooner than thought I'd extracted every bit of driving excitement with STOCK HP & TORQUE, minus losing some weight via Seibon carbon fiber hood & front fenders.

It is big fun. Oh my God!!

Conducive to going even faster.....like I really needed more encouragement. And I don't know how the hell people daily-drive supercars, or anything 450-500 HP+ (not that I couldn't get used to it......so don't get it twisted, homes).

But even with my little-bitty 280HP/270 LB FT, it seems slightly annoying not being able to lay the hammer down from block to block.

Does that make me a lightweight w/less than 300 HP? (Shut up. dude. You, too, sister.)

I can kick back in my seat, forearm on armrest, palm/fingers just under the leather ****, and lay the frickin power down harder and smoother.

Keep the revs nice & high in 2nd or 3rd gear - about 3000 - and wait for a chance to accelerate hard & upshift.

Damn the gas mileage, wake me when it's $8.00/gallon, and no more excessive 4-3 downshifts to get a blast. Mostly, just a couple downshifts (4-3-2) as a sorta brake assist 'fore I apply brakes; never downshift into 1st.)

And I'm not talking about abusing our transmissions - fast, not hard driving.

Anyway, I could go on all afternoon. I just can't wait to drive that mother-shutchyomouth later on today.

Next move? Have a local shop fabricate me a 6-8" dog leg extension to raise the **** (figuratively speaking) to mid-wheel level.

I AM STOKED!!!!
