Update on Bucking.

Just got my fluids changed in my tranny and differential. My shifts are smoother when letting the clutch out but the bucking is still there. It does not seem as bad but I cant tell if I am just imagining it. I will still check and see if there is any oil on any of the plugs. Just had not had time this weekend because of rain. I eventually plan on swapping out the tranny with either the cd009 one or even a built one for down the road.

bucking related to the tranny? try giving it gas?

sounds engine related if you're talking about plugs. wrong subforum.

I don't know the background to this but have you tried holding the clutch at the engagement point longer? My car bucks if I let it out to quickly...

Sorry I didn't specify exactly when its happening again. It is like a little double buck when say I am in 4th gear at 2k rpms and let off the gas and then give it a little it does a sorta double jerk and my rpms reflect that jerk too. My last thread someone had said it might be the plugs because of leaking valve covers while another said when he changed his tranny fluid it went away. I am guessing this is not normal for it to do this? It doesn't do it if I give a significant amount of gas only when its a small amount.

Thanks, Mike

So when the RPMs drop when you let off the gas it bucks a bit and you slow down, and when you give it gas again it bucks a bit and starts going?

just somethin id have to see personally to know i suppose. im guessing you know how to drive a manual car. if you were bucking it would do it in any gear if you let off and gave it gas.

^ yeah my car bucks when I let off gas too but that's been in every manual car I've driven. So if it is just that than it is normal I'm thinking...unless the bucking is REALLY bad

Yeah I know how to drive it comfortably. Yeah it bucks when I let off the gas in any gear but I know that normal but it also does it a good portion of time in mainly 3-6. Its not violent just a little skip and passengers can feel it also. If I give it so little of gas I can avoid it and when I get like half its just a single jerk (vs the slight double bounce so to speak)from the tq which of course every car does. I hate using the word buck because you think of a horse and it being kinda violent but this is small but I can see a little skip in rpm's when it happens. They kind of bounce a tad down and then a little back up maybe like 100-150. I know this car doesn't have the greatest tranny so I am thinking maybe that is why.

Thanks, Mike

You could take it to a dealer to have them check it and see.

I found this googling it
