I have both the 3.7 FD and transgo, also came from the 3.5 FD. I can tell you going from 3.5 to 3.7 is noticeable and was worth it to me. Personally I think 4.08 may be a little too short.

hmm do you have any vids of launches with your current set up so i can see how much shorter the 3.7 is to the 3.5

or did you already have that set up when you and Jayk did the exhaust vids theres plenty of launches in there

This is an older video back when I was N/A, its from inside the car but maybe you can tell the difference in RPMs. 1:00 - 2:00 is me

^I didn't have the Transgo kit at that time but it is definitely a mod worth getting.

If you do have the sports package (19" rays, orange stitching on steering wheel, aluminum pedals, sport suspension.......etc) then your car should have came with the 3.5 VLSD.
Something isn't right because everything I've read (including infinitihelp.com) states the following for the 1st gen car:

5AT RWD sedan/coupe, all years (3.36 gear)
5AT AWD sedan, all years (3.54 gear)
6MT RWD sedan/coupe, all years (3.54 gear)

My friend just bought an 07 coupe, 5AT rwd with the sport package. I confirmed it has the 3.36 gear. It was a simple comparison of steady cruise rpms at 80mph, torque converter locked vs my 03 sedan with the 3.54 gear at the same mph and considering the fact that I have about .6" shorter rear tires.

That is odd. My car was completely stock when I bought it. The differential was certainly a VLSD and I sold it to a member on here who originally had a 3.3 in an 03/04 5AT, he noticed the taller gearing when he installed it.

Silencer_0 had the same thing.

I sold my 3.5 to a friend that already had the 3.5, but his was open diff and wanted my LSD. He noticed no change in gearing. And I bought my car with 7400 miles on it, so I highly doubt someone changed out the pumpkin prior to my purchase.

nice, you should make a new one

0-60 or 40-100 or whatever you like and have the camera only on the RPM gauge

did it feel like driving a new car?

I wouldn't say it was like a new car, but the quicker acceleration was definitely noticeable. One of the best mods IMO.

I agree and I will add with a tune and exhaust it made a world of difference in my sedan. I drive a 5AT and at 30 can punch it and break the tires free with new tires on.
