Anyone Else have a TCM / Valve Body Go Bad?

I just bought an 07 g35x. Within the first 300 miles the TCM went bad on it. It wouldn't start (since it didn't know if it was in park or neutral) and was in a limp mode (meaning the car would only go in 4th gear). I had the local nissan dealership replace it (cost over $1,100), which really pissed me off since the damn thing is at 75k and the powertrain warranty just expired at 70k (& infiniti would not good faith help me out on it).

Anyways I go to the infiniti dealer to have it looked at for a rust and wood trim problem (still under warranty for this stuff) & come to find out the car at 42k also had the TCM / valve body replaced then. Do these POS TCM/valve bodys go out all the time in these things or what? Anyone else have theirs give out?
