Do I need a new clutch?

Hello.

I'm the 2nd owner of a 2005 g35 6mt rwd. Bout with 27K miles from orig owner 3 months ago. Never liked how it shifted. Is getting worse. Not it is very difficult to move from standstill. Normal driving. No racing. A normal pull away from stop leaves the car shaking a little bit as the clutch pedal lets out. Only way to avoid it is ti slip the clutch (very slowly let my foot off the clutch pedal). Really easy to stall it if you don't get the revs up.

Questions:
- is this what it feels like when a clutch dies?
- is there anything adjustable on this car (clutch) ?
- recommendations for a new clutch pedal.

I know everyone thinks they're a great driver. But having been driving nothing but manual transmission cars (and motorcycles) for 30 years, I am pretty familiar with how to not ride the clutch.

thanks

Wow, having that issue at your car's mileage seems very weird...

Anyways, I highly recommend excedy clutches. I have one on my Z & it's nothing short of awesome & I think some car brands outsource the clutches to them, so that's good rep already.

Thanks for the recommendation. I may yet end up replacing the clutch. First, I'm going to try having the clutch restrictor drilled out. I came across this while reviewing posts on this site. Apparently the lousy clutch feel and problem I'm experiencing is normal for this car.

OIC, that's a shame... older car really were built to last forever while our newer sleeker machines break down at the touch of a button, lol...
