longer final drives
does anybody make longer (more top speed) final drives for our 350z or G's?
searching the forms only brings up info on shorter final drives.

the 3.7 from a G37S/370Z rear end will work, you can even swap out the whole pumpkin
thats all i know, i have too much highway driving to try and go any higher 3700 RPMs @ 80mph is enough gas

The 3.7 is a shorter gear set up than stealth is asking about. The longest set of gears that came on our cars were the 3.3. Some of the FI guys that drive the 6MTs have swapped out their 3.5s for the 3.3s because they run through the shorter gears too fast and it hurts their top end.
and hamster....3700 RPM at 80, are you sure? When I switched from a 3.3 to a 3.5 I went from 3000 at 80 to 3200. 3700 seems awful high.

How much topspeed do you really need. With the 3.54 gears, a 5AT has a theorectial top speed of over 170mph. With the 3.3s, it's over 180mph. It takes ~500whp to propel to take a G35 from it's stock 155-160 to get into the 175-180mph range. To achieve top speed, you need to have the power and the right gearing or else you'll never to get to that point.
