04 6MT clutch/tranny issue
First i would like to say that i'm fairly new into the technical world of manual transmissions and if what i say don't make any sense, give me a break.
Driving my 04 G35 last few days its been feeling pretty weird, its kinda gutless & also gas mileage is poop. Every time I switch gears it feels like the car is barely moving but the engine is revving up. Lets say if I'm going 30 km/h and I throw it 5th gear and I hit the gas pedal half way the RPM jumps to 4 or 5k RPM and the car barely moves. Today i decided to see if i can stall it. I started letting go of the clutch slowly and when I was all the way off the RPM started slowly dropping to 0 right before it shuts off i pressed it again and she revved back up to idle.
Now reading/searching online i saw few things. One of them that might be my issue:
#1, Cheaper way. My clutch might be too loose and if i tighten the clutch a turn maybe turn and a half it might help (my engaging/disengaging point is right before the end of releasing the pedal, not even an inch or so)?
#2, My clutch is gone, i need a new one?
Other info i found & didn't know is clutch fluid (i know i'm retarded, but only had the car for 2 weeks and this is the first manual car i own, i drove many before though). So could that be an issue?
The car is an 04 with 98k km (58k miles???) I'm pretty sure clutch was never changed, still factory one. Car still shifts very smoothly between all gears and i have no problem going into any gear
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I used a Jim Wolf Technology clutch package (Lightened flywheel, clutch element, pressure plate, throw out bearning, stainless steel clutch line, and bearing insert) for about $800 and the labor made it all about $1200. Ordered from www.importpartspro.com one of the site sponsors.

Read the million threads on clutches and see what to do. I would shop around and only pay max of $500 in labor for clutch. I have already sourced out shops that will do it for $300-350 and friend who has done 12-13 clutch jobs on G35/350z and should be a little lower / some booze
$775 for clutch kit with all parts minus fluid.

MAX LABOR $500.

i had the JWT in mind but i read something online about them changing their clutches and they are not the same ones they used to carry, not sure how legit this is.
As for labour, i called two places and was quoted approx $1100.00 bucks!! just for labour. Labour was $189.95 an hour at one place and the other was $195.00
isnt that insane?
