Throwout Bearing problem
I took my 04 G35 to dreyer and reinbold in indianapolis and the service manager acted like he had no clue what was going on. The throwout bearing was giving me hell. It was pretty clear that it was the TOB because it only makes the noise when the clutch is engaged. I bought a TOB from them and put it in the next day. I used high temp grease on everything and everything looked fine and went together great. After about 600 miles of it driving just fine, it started making the same noise again. It does it really bad when starting it up for the first time but it goes away after it warms up. It will still occasionally do it when it's warmed up though. Only when I push and release the clutch pedal though. The TOB that I changed was definitely bad. Is there anything that can wear a TOB out that quickly? I just bought another one and I'm tearing it back apart tomorrow. Any input would be awesome. Thanks to all
