REQ: Auto tranny DIY

Theres a serious lack of DIY articles
There are the old ones but theyre all totally useless now because the pictures are gone

Some people need to step up and help out the new owners (like myself) with new DIY articles
Would be appreciated greatly

Automatic transmission and differential fluid changes specifically Id like to see

(I have the service manual but theyre skimpy on details and pictures)

As regards the Auto tranny fluid change- I think that it is recommended to only have this done at the dealer. I'm not sure if that is true or not but I though I read that somewhere.

there was a DIY article on the diff fluid change, complete with picture... As far as transmission, it's very easy/ The only requirement is to use the Nissan Jmatic fluid, and NO other... The other differences are the fluid capacity (8 quartz changeable i believe, look it up the in others manual) and the fluid level checking procedure (the car should be at normal operating temp, idling). Also, make sure that you actually have a dipstick in the filler tube, as some of the earlier cars only have a plug (including mine). If oyu don't, you are going to have to order one from thedealer (the cost was $10-15 i believe).

Good luck

Havent heard anything definite about how much you need
