Car problems please help
Wow I'm scared at what that might be. First check your wheels are torqued to 80ft-lbs. Check your motor mounts. Check for loose bolts, and then take this to a mechanic this is a serious issue. You could also have loose bearings from your bearings. Does the noise get much worse while turning at 30+ mph?
Nasty noise, glad it's not mine!
Take it to a mechanic, get it on a rack and have them check everything the other members listed...starting with your wheel lugs! Better idea, check your lugs before you leave the house...Gary
Thumping noise
Hey that sounds just like my g35x three weeks ago.My noise was coming from the passenger side.
I brought the car to the dealer for a oil change and noise. they gave me an estimate for $3200.for front end work told me I need a compression rods, ball joint, wheel bearings, ect.
Well at the price I jacked the car up and started to look around.I checked the tires before taking them off to see if it was a tie rod or a wheel bearing. I found no movement in wheel... side to side or up and down. I took off the tires and checked the struts, control arm, balljoints with a long pinch bar everything was tight..Checked the brakes.
At this point I still had no idea and a few friends that are mechanic did not have an answer for me either. I did find some play in the cv drive shaft so I decided to pull it out not a easy job on the floor of the garage. So I pull the cv drive axle and parts started falling out of the tire side of axle the dust cover for the wheel bearing a few ball bearing.
The axle was fine it was wheel bearing.
So that was my issue sure sounds like the same thing, wish I had some help mine...... for me it was trial and error.I replaced the wheel bearing and all is good.
Hopefully this will send you in the right direction.
