Slip is not comparing front to rear wheel speed. If it was, the slip light would come on every single time the rear tires break loose or someone does a burn out. I had my G on several dynos, 4th gear pulls with front wheels stationary and still no slip light.

Where did you get 3.9? It is 6.6% OD difference (also on the low end of what some Z06 guys run). Why would the 3% apply to G35s and not Z06? My main point was OP was questioning the Nissan engineers based on a random value which no one has a clue if it applies or not.

It most certainly is a comparison of front to rear wheel spin, my slip light pops up and cuts throttle every time I do a hard launch and get a second gear scratch - it's pretty annoying sometimes. If you were on a dyno, the person turned the VDC off before doing pulls.

The 3% could apply to Nissan and not Chevy, because they're two different manufacturers designing different cars. You can't really use that as a comparison. As far as where I got 3.9% from, go to the link I posted and input both tire sizes, there's only a 3.9% different in tire circumference. That's the number you need to tell the difference in rotating speed.

Edit, just double checked the numbers and noticed your Z06 friend had a 19in wheel in front and 20in wheel in the rear, so yes, that's an 8.1% difference. But still irrelevant because it's a Corvette and Chevy designed it like that.

+1 He trolls everything I post trying to enforce his "common sense" when really he's spewing false information and irrelevant facts.
