Changing fluids

I just got my 05 g35x two weeks ago and I went to the mechanic today to get an oil change and he told me that I have to change my transmission oil, rear and front diff fluid and also one more fluid but I can't remember what the name of it was I have to check. My car has 70,000 miles on it. Do you guys think it's a good idea to change all of these fluids or what? My mechanic said that all of them have never even been touched.. Also he quoted me $380 to change all of these is that a good price?? Let me know what you guys think about changing all of these fluids, good idea or bad.

Transfer case fluid... That sounds like a good price to me for all of those.

I'd ask two questions: 1) Is he going to use OEM fluid. 2) What type of transmission service is he going to do? Drain/refill or some type of flush. If he mentions transmission flush machine run away. Those two things will give you an idea if the price is good.

I'm guessing the other fluid was either your brake or coolant. You can do all of that on your own for probably ~200 bucks and you know what was put in. Biggest expense will be the Nissan tranny fluid it's like 10-12 dollars a quart if I remember right.

Rear diff fluid Mobil 1 75W-90 is like 10-15 dollars you need about two.
Dot 4 brake fluid is 10 dollars.
Nissan Coolant was about 30 if I remember right.
Drain refill tranny takes about 4 quarts of Nissan Type J fluid (40-50).
I think the front diff is Nissan Type D I'm not sure though, since I don't have an AWD.

The coolant and brake fluid can be a PITA to do on your own. So, I'd pay a mechanic to do it if you don't have experience. Everything else can be done with some hand tools, time, and a sturdy jack and jack stands.
