2003 G35 Coupe Manual Transmission/Clutch Help Meeded

So today on my way to work my car would no longer shift into any gear after putting it into neutral at the stoplight. The clutch pedal did feel a bit more stiff than usual today.

Anyone know what the is or may be? I'm thinking maybe the throw out bearing or the clutch, but would like a more experienced opinion before shelling out money.

A little background:

I installed a competition clutch stage 1 clutch and lightened flywheel about 4 years ago. Before my car ran into the issue today for the past 3 months there is some kind of a grinding noise that would occur only in 1st gear when let off the clutch pedal and engage the gas pedal. This grinding noise only occurs when I'm trying to accelerate from a dead stop (e.g. stopped at stop sign, etc) and it didn't happen every time. Some days it would happen all day long, some days just here and there, and some days it didn't happen at all.

TIA

Unbolt the clutch slave cylinder and work the clutch, does the piston operate properly? Could he the clutch master or operating cylinder, maybe just air in the.line, maybe the clutch pressure plate, maybe something else.
