Question 2003 g35 code p0745

Hello, I am currently dealing with code p0745 on an auto g35. on start up, my trans light flashes for a while and I lose manual mode. the code says "Line Pressure Solenoid Valve Fault". it also mentioned something about the letter A.

My Transmission fluid has been leaking for some time from my radiator, so I am assuming this was the ultimate cause. So with some research I understand that that solenoid has to be replaced.
This is where I'm stuck, I am unsure what part number it is and how to be sure I replace the right thing. the valve body has a number of solenoids on them, but are they all the same? how will I know which one I need to replace, and also which to order. This is the only part that matches the 'title' description of the part that I need.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RE5R05A-LIN...4383.l4275.c10

I don't really need a used one, I just want to be sure I order the correct part and also replace it. Also if i'm going about this code entirely wrong, im up to info and advice. That will not include advice about installing a transGo kit and/or getting a new transmission all together. that will be my last resort. Thank you for the read and advice in advance.

You have an '03, so you have the early style valve body.
From there, hopefully the Sonnax site can help you in the right direction.

Ok so I'm assuming I go with the first generation valve body which means my part number is "NIS501".

I'm also guessing they are all the same on the valve body. The second document didn't tell me much or at least I didn't understand what was being said at the p0745 code section. Thank you for your response.

Ok so I see that I'm going to purchase the entire set. Now I just have to figure out exactly which valve body my tranny has. I'll search the web for that.

Just pull the valve body out of the transmission and compare it to the ones on the Sonnax site. Then you are guaranteed to get the right one, you don't know that maybe someone swapped the transmission at some point. Unlikely but it's still better to just pull the thing and look.

You should be able to find a video or write-up of folks doing a TransGo shift kit installation, that will show you what it entails to remove the valve body.

Just an update. Found this site/pdf to help with removal (for all future readers).

mine is the first design and the pdf helped identify which solenoid was which. Also which bolts needed removal. Basically step by step.

No problem, now my car won’t move in drive or reverse <_<

im guessing it’s my trans fluid level. I put 7 quarts back in but more than 7 came out. Researched and not finding much. My parking break does engage but everything else feels like neutral. The fluid level is right at the scuffed/indented part of the dip stick when warm.

I’m wondering if it’s the solenoids I purchased, or if I need more fluid. Before I did this I could still drive. Although now, the AT light doesn’t flash and I’m not getting any codes.

For this transmission, you check the fluid like most modern domestic.
Engine running, trans in park, car on level ground. Ideally, you want to check with the fluid hot/operating temp and it should be on the crosshatch marks of the stick.
If checking cold, there are two hash marks (lower on the stick than the crosshatch) that the fluid level should be at

*not the dipstick from a G/Z, but should get you in the right direction

Ok so my fluid is at the correct level. Thank you for that reassurance.

im beginning to question my reinstallation. I’m thinking I may have forgot to plug in a connector. It was probably when I was putting the VB back up in. I just bolted it and may have missed it due to it being so heavy and me being under the car. Meh I guess I have no choice but to check

So the plug I referenced before hand wasn't the case. I planned on checking if it was the solenoid causing me not to be able to move while in drive or reverse, but I came across another variable. The wire could have possibly been frayed upon re installation the first time. So now ultimately I will have to drop the valve body after this second time.

Both of the solenoids have all identical numbers except for the ones on the top. The new one says 1361 while the old one says 1261. And I'm unsure what those top numbers in date format are, as my old one says 03-03-19 and the new 03-08-13

So once I rewire this plug I will be putting the old solenoid back in to see if my drive and reverse issues were because of the new solenoid.

Link to solenoids I purchased:

Car Transmission Control Solenoid... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VDCNJCN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

And btw the wire was detached because I forgot to unplug it the second time I dropped it... So I mean the cut (end part) and damage (after the cut) could have happened on different instances.
