HELP crank walk?
HELP crank walk?
I have a 2004 g35 manual and every time I step on the clutch I can hear a squeak and the engine dies the squeak kinda sounds like a throw out bearing but I don’t understand the engine stalling I was reading online and heard a lot about “crank walk” when your thrust bearings are bad causing your crankshaft to have play in it I read that can cause stalling when you push in the clutch so I recorded my crank pulley while I pushed the clutch to see if there was any movement I could not see any movement I will attach the video I made you can hear the squeak and my engine dying out as-well as the pulley I would just like some thoughts on what it could be
These engines don't have crank walk issues, some engines do, the VQ engines do not.
You probably have a bound up throwout bearing that's putting a lot of drag on the engine and stalling it, and creating a hellacious noise at the same time.

Back in the early 2000s I had two friends with late 90 Eagle Talons and one friend with a 2000 Eclipse and my youngest brother had a early 90's Eclipse. All had the turbo 4G63, I know all about those thrust bearings LITERALLY FALLING OUT.
