Doh.....
There are two switches that the pedal arm has to hit.
The one on the bottom is the starter lock out if the clutch is not depressed.
The one on the top is the cruise control switch.
Just loosen the lock nut and adjust it to where the arm has it depressed when driving and you will be good to go.

ok did the adjustment todai and just wanna give sum feedbak...first i adjusted it the WRONG way lol...i was on an uphill and i didnt realize the point was so high and stalled...so after i readjusted it, i felt the catch was too low...makes it easier on downgearing but the clutch seems too short now...so i adjusted it just a bit lower then stock..iunno im gonna play around with it a bit more see where i like it, but this was definitely a pretty easy and cheap mod hahah if u can call it that

I've had my dealership do this mod when i had 3,000 miles and as it turns out, i have 33,000 miles on the car now and clutch wear is fine. I want to add that this is my first MT car and I had to teach myself on it.
As you can imagine, a 23 yr old with 33,000 miles on his first clutch in a sports car is pretty rare to find.
This mod does not produce additional wear or slip on the clutch.

As was said in other threads, this is going to leave your clutch partially depressed at all times. If you are happy with reducing the friction, increasing the chance for it to slip, increasing the wear and making it break sooner, go for it. Otherwise I would avoid this mod.

Then again, because it now feels so much better to me, I often find myself driving even more spirited than before I did the mod, so the increased fun factor may actually be contributing to more wear

I have been driving the G35 for about two weeks now, and was way less than happy with the clutch engagement. I looked this up and took a few moments to readjust the pedal, and the car is a completely different animal now. First gear starting hesitation is gone, the first to second shift is an absolute blast now, as it should be.
