5AT shifting problems in MM mode?

I was driving yesterday in mm mode and while doing 30 mph, I down shifted from third to second gear where the tranny made a clunking feel & sound when it went into second gear. I just wanted to know if anyone had this issue before and if so is it normal.

ehhh....no thats never happened to me before and no its not normal. However, I did have a tranny problem before. My car wouldnt shift to 3rd, 4th, or 5th sometimes. It would show the gears shifting but the rpms would still be at 4-5000. I would suggest that you go to your dealer. That's what I did and they gave me a brand new transmission (under warranty),and I had a rental car to play with

This happens to me a lot, if you give it some gas before you go into 2nd from 3rd you avoid the jerking, kind of like double clutching. This is probably due to the difference in gear ratios from 3 to 2. When I need to accelerate into traffic i'll put it into 2nd from 3rd while getting on the gas, no jerking, only acceleration.
