Re: VDC

OK, found the mag. October issue of Sport Compact Car, Volume 14,NO. 10.

On page 81, they state ' One problem we found with the car's dynamics is in the programming of the electronic throttle. Touch the brakes at full throttle and the engine practically shuts down. This keeps advanced drivers from using the proper left foot braking techniques and keeps advanced hot dogs from doing big-burn-holes-in-the-asphalt burn-outs.

We only achieved this month's cover shot by unplugging the brake light switch.'

This test was done on a 350Z, but I'm sure it works the same exact way in the coupe... They don't explain where they unplugged the brake light, and I'm sure there is a safer way of getting big smoky burn outs...

Re: VDC

Why are a lot of you afraid to disable the ABS with the VDC. It will not be a disaster. If you read any amateur road racing rules they mandate disabling the ABS. I race with NASA and the rule mandate disabling the ABS.

Granted most of you are not road racing, but disabling ABS wil NOT be a disaster.

Personally, I prefer driving a car w/o ABS. I had hoped that the G35 will have ABS as a stand alone option.

Re: VDC

I figured this one out 2 weeks after i got the car. the only way to do it is to do a burn out. i know this sounds nuts but its ther only way. Do a dougnute with the VDC off, the SLIP light will start to wig out and after about 8 seconds of pure tire spin it wont flash anymore it will stay on.... ONce the SLIP light is perminatly illuminated then ur VDC is done. U will immediatly notice wat its engine can do, trust me. the vdc will come back on when u start the car again.
