Auto Transmission Maintenance

Re: Auto Transmission Maintenance
We have the same Tranny as the Q45 and M45. So you can hot rod it up to those levels with no issues. That info comes from Nissan talking about the autos in the Zs. They later reference it being the same as the Gs. This is also confirmed by Frontier, Pleasanton & Peninsula Infiniti. You know you're safe up to 330 Hp & 340 lbtq. Rearend...thats the question

Re: Auto Transmission Maintenance
DaveO, Got an answer from my parts guy at Brantford Nissan here in Ontario concerning the tranny dipstick I have on my Coupe and had on my Sedan.
First of all the part number is:
31086CD100 and the part is described in the book as a "transmission oil level gauge".
According to my parts guy, the same part is used in the Nissan 350Z, G35 Coupe, G35 Sedan, and FX45.
He explained further that the part number would be the same in the U.S. and should be readily available from your parts peeps at your dealerships!
According to my guy here, 99.9% of parts for these cars have the same p/n's in the U.S as the cars in Canada. He explained that he has direct dealing with American dealerships in the U.S. and knows that these numbers are the same.
So that's the story from this side of the border.
Dave, if the guys you normally deal with can't locate or order this p/n, then contact another dealer and see what they say.
It very much sounds to me that the part is there for the ordering. And in Canada is just under $20 CDN funds. Good luck.
