Question on Differential and Manual Trans fluid

I will be changing out my differential fluid and I am considering putting in Shell Spirax Synthetic 75W-90 GL-5 gear oil. Anyone have any experience with this oil?
When I visited the dealer they told me if you use something other than Nissan diff. oil you will need to add a limited slip additive to it if it's not already in the oil.
I'm also cosidering adding Spirax to my Manual Trans. I have read some post's on this forum that the shifting motion was smoother with this oil.
Anyone have any experience with this?

As far as the diff - I use Mobile 1...best I know of that is easy to get and proven for years.

I have the 3.92 gear set and noticed the diff temps dropped about 50 degrees once I changed to the Mobile 1.

I use the Shell Spirax in my my tranny and diff. The tranny definitely shifts smoother and I'm able to coast longer now. I'm hoping to see fewer wear particles stuck on the magnets when I change it in another 15K
