I have a 5th Gear Grind (but also aftermarket clutch/flywheel)

Title says it all my friends.

I've got the infamous 5th gear grind that many of us have come across in our 6MTs.
I've heard locals get it and many people on the forums as well.
Never thought it would happen to me but, it did. :\

I've also got some drivetrain modifications done.
The tranny hasn't been modified, but the stock clutch and flywheel have been swapped out for a JWT Clutch and Unorthodox Racing Flywheel.

Here is my question:
Has anyone with an aftermarket clutch and/or flywheel had a grinding tranny replaced under warranty?

I'm gonna call up the local dealerships next week to see what they say.
But i wanted to see what type of response you guys had when you called.

Did they give you a hard time?
Was it a non-issue?

Bottom line, they should warranty it. Why?
I didn't modify the tranny.
If it was the aftermarket clutch and flywheel that caused it, or my driving style that caused it, why is 5th the only synchro that grinds?
It would surely be one of the lower gears (1st thru 4th) that would grind from the abuse from off the line mashing.

Just wanna get a feel for what i should expect out of the techies.
My past experiences with some of these dealerships wasn't great.
That was for other stuff though, not about the infamous tranny grind.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Why did you have to pay the dealership 500 bucks up front?
It was covered under warranty!
