Transmission software question?

Okay, so I went to the dealership today and got my transmission software updated for a fee to what I assume is suppose to be the newer transmission software. I have The things is I know the software was updated since I got a reciept saying it was updated and what not. However, I feel it was not really updated as it acts pretty much the same as before. However, the only real difference is that I do notice it shifts a bit faster and harder. I assumed that this update should make this act like the 04.5 tranny software and the coupe? I have driven the coupe and we own an FX35 so I pretty much now how it should work. The service guy did ask to call back and see how it and if he should recomend to others. Should I ask for another reflash or something for free? Or could this be in my head because I think the flash should have the tranny shifting to 1st gear as am slowing down like in the coupe and the FX. Any ideas? Thank you.

I didn't know there were reflashes at all? So you have like G35 tranny shift V2.0 ? How much did it cost. I will get mine done just to see if it makes a difference.

Harder and quicker would be nice. I would like it to rev match if at all possible.

Question

What model year is your G and is this the coupe or sedan? I'm kind of interested in this software upgrade. I inquired about this subject before in another post but got no response.

Just wondering if this can be applied to a '05 coupe Auto.

Yeah Let us know how it goes. Best of luck.

If you have the old style auto transmission (03-03.5) that does not hold gear, does not shift to first when you stop, you cannot reflash to the newer 5AT style.

I have a 03.5 5AT and I dont have any issue with it. What is this reflash supposed to do? The only thing I hate about the 5AT cars is that the ECU trims the spark timing before shifts to extend the life of the clutch plates. Then the genuises decide to use fuel cut for the rev limiter instead of spark. WTF?

I had my early production '03 reflashed to the newest version. To be honest, I really didn't notice any difference.

my 03.5 doesn't have a problem holding gear....i think the it's just 02.5 - 03 sedans and early coupes.

I had mine updated as well, a couple weeks ago when I brought it in because the trans was shifting very poorly. It felt MUCH improved after the update and still does.

Yeah I have the 03.5 Sedan but the thing is that after the reflash upgrade it did not do it to where i stop it shifts to first. However, as I stated I do notice a little more improvment in the shifting speed and harder shifting but that is all.

Alright so I did some more field testing with the car so to speak and I do notice the shift is a little faster, not to mention I feel that the car is a little faster but that could be in my head.
