nissmo lsd differential

Hi guys, Im new to the site and I have a question I just purchased a 03 coupe and it has a nissmo differential in it. When I go around turns the rear end stays locked up most of the time. Is this normal or do you think there is something wrong with it.It makes for a lousey ride around town.
I did a search but couldnt find any info
This is a great site and glad to be a part of it,
Thank John

Yes, the clutch type differentials are known to chatter and make popping noises during low speed manuveurs. That's the trade off for having a superior performance differential. You might be able to have the clutch plates rearranged for a lower lock up rate but it wouldn't be cheap since you'd have to pull the whole diff out.

I know this is a shameless plug but if you decide you want to take out the Nismo cause you can't stand it and want put in the stock viscous lsd I have one for sale.
