I just ordered 6 of LFR6AIX-11 from amazon.com.

I'd do the install myself but I'm worried that if there is an oil problem I'll have to take it to infiniti to get it covered under my warranty. I want to just take the car in with these plugs and have them do the install and check for the oil problem BUT i'm always worried that if I bring a part like this to them, they'll keep it and use the shop/OEM parts instead knowing that I won't be able to tell the difference..... :/ I wonder if dealerships do this kind of stuff? Anybody have any experience with it?

I'd be more concerned about them ignoring the oil leak... Why not just do it yourself?

^+1 , great write up, and i too just did this a couple days ago, i am always kind of hesitant at doing stuff myself but this was very easy to do, after installing the plenum spacer, rotors, wheel hubs and other misc maintenance stuff im getting a lot more comfortable with doing this types of things....

moving the wire harness helped a lot,,, the wires are numbered so just make sure you plug them back into the right spot, do them one by one if you are concerned about messing something up....and just follow the DIY

So I started it myself....Got the driver side done....noticed some oil on each plug but nothing major....

then got to the passanger side. when i removed the coilpack closest to the firewall i noticed it CAKED in oil....tons of it. so it looks like i'll stop working right here and take the car in to the dealership. i'm under warranty still.

About 700 for the new valve covers, gaskets and labor.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it if it's not causing problems.

I just had both of mine replaced under my non-Infiniti extended warranty because they wanted to fvck with me over other things, so I said "screw it, they can pay".

I just got back from the dealership to repair the oil leaking issue.
Apparently it's all fixed now and they used my new 1 step colder NGK Iridium IXs. Only bad thing is that I'm missing one of my grounding kit wires - I'm sure they'll find it and send it back to me.

Maybe it was that I was driving the g37 around all day, but my car sounded MUCH louder when I started it. Felt slightly more powerful too - BUT my gas mileage went from 13-16mpg to 23-29 mpg.

Driving home I got 27-29 mpg on the highway! I reset it for city driving and was right around 23-25!!!!

I'll take a picture -

my mods that should increase my gas would be my test pipes, spacer, and throttle body spacer.

My sister's #3 plug in her G35 failed on her @ 88k miles. Car was bogging, CEL, and barely driveable but the dealer said the plugs normally fail @ 102k miles.
Just some info on you guys wondering on when to change your plugs.

I hit 99k miles today and I plan on doing mine tomorrow.

I changed mine at 75k just because. I replaced mine with the NGK Iridium plugs for good measure. Aside from the fact that the coil over bolt broke off in the valve cover and having to replace my valve cover, all was pretty easy if you can get around all the wires.

Finally got around to doing mines last night @ 99.3k miles. Found a little bit of oil in cylinder #5 and #6 but no biggie.
Replaced them w/ the NGK Iridiums listed on the first page.

I only had one that looked like the far right one, the others looked like they were in fairly good condition. If memory serves me correct, it was the one that links into the last intake manifold inlet that was all brown form the oil vapor that collect in the lower manifold collector.
