thanks for all the info. this is my first post, and this is the first thing that I really wanted to do to the car. thank goodness the solution is simple.

I was able to complete this mod without incident and I agree the change of directions feels much better. The wiring is also the same on an '04 North American G35 as stated in another post. Great write up!!!!

Bump for info......

Has anyone been able to swap the + and - on an 06+ shifter? Also are the wires the same colors?

wires are the same colors. I dont really care if the + and - are backwards cause really when am i gonna look at that

Can you at least attempt to do some of the work for yourself and search? I can't believe how lazy some people are. I just searched for "console removal" and found several that show how to do it. Took me all of 30 seconds. You don't say if you have a Coupe or Sedan, so here's one of them. If it doesn't work, try searching. https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...irius-sat.html

when i opened it up for it the wires were different I have an 04 could the wires be different colors?

I was looking on my 04 and it has from the end one gray,brown and black and the front is dark green,light green. What do i do?
