lol yes I see a whole **** load of 6-700hp vqs going 11s...very impressive. nothing against them..its just very hard and ridiculously expensive to get any decent numbers out of those engines. Im using a proven drivetrain in an unproven platform(when it comes to drag racing) so as of right right now..until I can produce some sort of number I have no leg to stand on..however from my past experience with the LS engine in a car much heavier..they are pretty impressive..and VERY strong. Please don't post in my thread if your intention is to start a fight.

P.S..that comment I made was directed to my own car..not the Zs in general..look at Hals car...VQ and my car wont touch that thing..its all in how its built. Ive seen 400hp cars go 10s..and ive seen 900hp cars go...11s

last year when i was making some money i was looking at the cost of a tt setup for my g, in adding everything up including lower comp rebuild, you can get into the LS swap for the same price, if not cheaper.
i was looking at the hotrodders special, iron block LQ4 and L92 heads its 60 some lbs heavier than the aluminum ls2(big deal), slightly lower compression and super cheap. end up with 400 tire no problem and still get high 20's mpg

here is an artical 480 HP for under $4000 (try that with a VQ)

its all just a pipe dream now with cuts at work

My engine will put down somewhere from 420-440whp...for under 900$ and still be extremely reliable. The only mod being a camshaft and supporting items like springs, and all new gaskets.(including head gaskets) add ported heads/intake manifold and your looking at close to(or over) 500whp...all motor...stock block.

so awesome

good luck with my dream swap!!

just like the RX7's its the ultimate swap, take a car with a perfect suspension and looks with a flawed power plant.

who is going to do your tunning? I highly recommend blackbearperformance......... his customer service is AWESOME and he really knows his stuff.

Do you have any plans of going w/ a s/c or turbo ever?

Amazing project. I always respect enthusiast who don't settle for the ordinary and go the more difficult route. It opens the doors for everyone else.

Major kudos and in for more updates
