Grounding wires question

Hey everyone today i was bored and i decided to take off my engine cover. Didnt really like it when it was on and i realize that one of gordgees wires was connected to the screw (the top right screw). When i tried to screw it back on without the engine cover and its loose now. So my question is should i just cut the screw to make it shorter?

Drive to the store and buy the right screw.

the wire was connect to the engine cover? the terminal was above the cover? why? that wouldn't do anything, it wouldn't even be grounded. i don't even think that, thats a grounding point. but to answer your question, yes you can cut it, or just get a shorter bolt from Home depot, becasue if you cut it, 1 you would need a new bolt if you ever put you cover back on, and 2 you might have a hard time getting it back in, becasue the you'll probably screw up the thread.

If his wires are installed correctly there won't be one connected to any of the engine cover bolts.

I think there is i saw a pic here on the forums and some guy had it on his car where the engine cover is. In order to take out the engine cover theres 4 screws. Two are on top and two are at the bottom and the one that is connected to the gordgees wires is the top right one....ex: if you put the engine cover back on you would take the right top screw and slip it in the cover thru the wire then the hole.
