Additional tach / rev light

Does anyone know what's the simplest way to add an additional tachometer? I also want to add an additional light sensor that pickups the stock dash "REV" light. I want the secondary shift light to also blink just as the stock REV light does before it stays on at the preset RPM.

Reason: driving with hand at 12 o'clock, I can't see my rev light. I end up over revving my safe shift point when driving hard on the FWY.

Thanks for the feedback.

Try placing your left hand at 10:30 or 11:00.

I'd think the shift light would be fairly easy, and you could get one small enough that you still have some creative mounting locations.

Is the OEM tach really that innacurate?

okayyyy... that was a helpful tip

The stock REV light is so dim, its hard to notice while you're drag acing / autocrossing. I just want another external indicator. The STi have a beeping indicator for their rev setting. Really useful IMO.

You should be able to splice in a shift-light to trigger on the OEM signal.
