Motor Trend came in today and on page 138 theres a red G. The G is a coupe and supercharged and it was an AT. I had hopes that the stillen supercharger would make me beat my friends M3 after i got it. I guess not since the car stock said by motor trend does 6.3 0-60 and with the charger 5.5. I thought my coupe does 5.9 stock and i had hopes that the charger could make me in low low fives or high 4s i guess not. To me the charger is worth less and now i wont spend my money on it cuse i would still run 14-13.89 quarter mile. Dam i should have gotten the Sti or wrx. Oh and the whole package with brakes and wheels cost 14 grand and change. 14 grand invested into your car and u still cant compete with m3s or even c32 or s4s thats sad. I wish i bought a supra! What are your feelings on this?

If you are talkig about pure acceleration, then yea, you definatelly bought the wrong car. I couldnt be happier with my G. Its kind of hard to believe that a 400hp G couldnt take an M3. I call BS on this one. It aint no way that a supercharged G will do 0-60 in 5.5, stock Z does that. It should be high 4s for sure.

I called stillen and they told me 5.5 is what u get basicly. He said that the 350z is 5.9 manual stock. Stillen also told me that there will be upgrades for the supercharger in the next 30 days. It will be an intercooler and pulley set that will make the kit into 400hp. The down side to that is it takes the warranty away. DAM IT

hmm 5.5 doesnt sound that good to me, maybe with other mods you could push it to 5.2 or so. So that should be around 5.2 for the stick with just the supercharger.

 

Hmm the z is 5.9 stock, I cant wait to race a stock stick Z. My car is so much stronger now than it was when I got it, I bet I can at least keep up with it.

 

All acceleration numbers really depend on a lot of factors. Car & Driver took a stock G35 6MT coupe to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Weather conditions, road conditions, and launch techniques can make a big difference. However, Motor Trend usually has some of the quicker 0-60 times.

I don't know how you could compare the G to a WRX or something like that.

The G has class and style. The WRX has an incredible performance package and I respect it for what it is. but it looks like [censored] and has the cheapest interior out there. No ladys would wanna ride in it that's for sure and I sure in the hell wouldn't want to take it on a trip.

The G does exactly what it was made for. Performance, Luxory and Style. If you wanted just a performance car, than yes you definitely chose the wrong car.

thats bull [censored] 5.5 for a supercharged G. I understand that the stillen kit only gives you 60 more HP wich is a joke in its self but i have a hard time beliving that a auto G which goes 0-60 in 6.1 only lost .6 seconds with an additional 60 HP. Thats rediculous. Either they reduced the boost because its an auto or this is the shityest supercharger ever. Though i dont know why anyone would put this POS on a G. The ATi is 10 times better and the new power enterprise kit looks a lot more promising

I've said it before and I'll say it one more time- I'll never give Stillen a penny...Even with a bad driver or poor conditions as a possibility for Motor Trend, Stillen is crap...Their R&D is horrible, their product quality is terrible, and they treat customers as if they're annoyances and just another pay day...This supercharger of theirs is worthless...

Its bs. I saw a Motor Trend time for a Z roadster manual for 5.5. We should be at least 5.0. If they got 5.5 for a auto coupe wonder what they would get for an auto sedan 5.9? The sc must have been a dud. Re-count hehe.
