This is what it states on the IMPUL website:
Max. Increase of power
Medium speed with torque rise of framework, substantial improvement of drivability
Speed cancellation of limiter
Enlargement of Rev. limiter
Engine rationalization of the ignition timing which responds to rpm
Engine improvement of response
Improvement of fuel economy
Rationalization of fuel oil consumption

No, it's a full ECU. Just take out your OEM ECU and place the IMPUL ECU in its place. No piggy back, no reprogramming. You can send the IMPUL ECU to the manufacturer to change the settings it even more to fit your car's mods or preference.

If you start searching, it seems that about half the aftermarket manufacturers in Japan have ECUs for Zs and Skylines. The question is if they will work in US cars. There may be some differences between ours and theirs. Also, Japan requires the speed limiter, but our cars are unlimited already.
