Check engine Light

I recently got a check engine light and I had a couple questions. I did a couple of searches and I read the detailed informortion on the navi, and I am sure it is MAF error due to the gas filler cap being loose. In the navigation description it stated that I should tighten the cap and then after a few trips the light should extinguish. It has been on for about a week now, granted i dont drive it everyday, mainly on the weekends but I have made about 5 trips so far. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how many a few trips was. It is due for a oil change soon and I suppose I can have the dealership cut it off then, but I was wondering if anyone had any input?
