Oil and Oil filter help

Lightbulb Oil and Oil filter help

OK so i'm due for the next oil change and i guess i should replace my oil filter as well. I have 54k mi on my baby. I wanna go out and buy my own oil and oil filter so i was wondering what everyone's using and recommend thanks!

i just use the OEM filter and use mobil 1... people say good and bad things about mobil 1 but whatevers... it hasnt let me down

One thing i like about using the OEM filter is while im at the dealer i can pick up the drain plug washer there too LOL

This http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Filters.html is a bike site, but the parameters still apply. I use the PureOne PL14610 on the bike and the G. After Blackstone oil analysis, the OEM filter produced .4 % insolubles after 7888 mile oil use. The PureOne had only .2% insolubles after 10241 mile use. So half the junk in the oil, with a 30% longer usage. Hard to argue with that, especially for $5-6 ea.
