A reflash should almost ALWAYS be the last thing you do. Depending on what FI solution you plan on (will you install yourself?), it would be a good idea to go over to the Carbconn guys and tell them what your goals and budget are. I dont know them personally or have any business connection with them, but I have had my car dynoed there with A/F and they appear to be a well equipped and competent tuning shop.

The main thing is that with FI, tuning is EVERYTHING when it comes to a motor that will survive longterm. You want a receipt with some evidence that the tune is conservative and suitable for a daily driver. Sending an ECU away is always risky. You want a custom tuning solution that matches YOUR car, not a program based on someone elses.

Thanks very much for the info! Yes, I know tuning is extremely important w/ FI, which is why I've been askin these questions.
