I betting your in for a big surprise with the UTEC.
The VQ will show more power in the lower 13 AFR. The canshafts in the VQ are so calm with there timing you will never need more than a 13.2 AFR.
Remember lean is mean!!

jxtg35,

How much have you spent including labor for all your performance mods ??(excluding any interior and exterior upgrades).

Stillen intake = $190
Z-tube = $30
Mrev+ and 5/16 ISO thermal = $600
Alphawerks Headers = $375+($360 install labor) = $735
Crawford cats = $220+($120 install labor) = $340
FI dual exhaust = $1100

Go fast mods only cost me $2995 as most of the parts I was able to install myself and got a few good deals on parts from members here.

John,

I see that you installed the headers already!! How do you like them? The numbers will change for sure after you get it tuned. The only thing you need now is a crank pulley IMO. I think the pulley along with a tune will put you in the 270's or more for sure. I know my 5at pulled 269hp/251tq on a dyno dynamics and 276hp/262tq on a dynapac w/o headers. I had the same mods as you except I had a crank pulley and stock headers. I know I would of had more if I installed those headers after a TS ECU re-tune. What is your goal N/A 280-300whp?

Derek,
The headers pull the sound of the car together nicely. Before the headers the exhaust note was just deep now its very throaty...sounds like a V8. As far as performance I can tell the car breaths better but nothing you can feel on the butt dyno. I will be ordering a utec in the next few weeks and getting a dyno tune done for sure. I hope this will put me near 270whp and 260tq on the dynojet but we shall see. Thanks again for the headers.

John

JDM parts on a DTM car? Sounds like a match made in heaven.

I've been drooling all over the B7 RS4's, and it very well may replace my G35.

Ironically most of the DTM parts we do order are from Japan. I wonder if we got the RS4 if we wouldn't have the need to modify it... well maybe some AC Schnitzer wheels. Either way I have been visiting the Audi website way too much lately!

I know I've just always liked the Type III wheels on a BMW. Wasn't even thinking about it being only for a BMW... duh!
