Resetting The ECU By Disconnecting The Battery
Resetting The ECU By Disconnecting The Battery
Does it matter if you disconnect the positive or the negative before letting it sit for 12 hours...?

Re: Resetting The ECU By Disconnecting The Battery
You only need to remove the negative cable for the reset. But, NEVER remove the positive cable - before disconnecting the negative!!!!! And when putting the cables back - ALWAYS put the positive on first, then the negative.

Re: Resetting The ECU By Disconnecting The Battery
you could get shocked if you pull the positive before the negative. Just FYI, my stereo did NOT recognize 4 of 6 cd's after i reconnected the battery, i suggest unloading any cds from your changer before you disconnect.

Also put your windows a little bit if not all the way down before disconnecting the battery if you think you might be needing access to your car.
